Pre Primary

The specific objective of Pre-Primary is to provide all necessary care and education to young children for their development through cognitive, linguistic, physical, social and emotional growth. This objective is met in a nourishing and inspiring environment.

The curriculum equips young children with the requisite numeracy and linguistic skills for entry into the formal learning arena.

Children learn physical motor skills best through their everyday, natural experiences. Gross and fine motor learning opportunities are integrated directly into various play activities .

Gross/ Large Motor Skills Development Activities

Kids develop gross motor skills at different rates . But when young kids have trouble with those skills, it can make gross motor activities like running, jumping, and throwing difficult. If your child’s gross motor skills need a little extra help, try these fun activities.

At this age children develop social and emotional skills that are imperative for interaction in and outside school.

Sensitivity to social and environment concerns are inculcated through activities and programmes which teach the children the basic etiquette and interpersonal communication skills in an informal scenario. This further leads to the development of finer social graces and fosters emotional intelligence.

Children have ample opportunities for aesthetic expression and appreciation through art and music. Children experiment with and enjoy various forms of music, both with the classroom teacher and with a music specialist. They develop familiarity with the basic elements of music, such as melody, rhythm, pitch, tempo, beat, and harmony.

A variety of art media, such as pencilcolor, paint, and clay. are available for creative expression of the children. They are exposed to the basic elements of art, like line, color and texture. Both music and art are woven into all aspects of the curriculum.

Some formal tests are held. Grading is done on the basis of a continuous comprehensive assessment. Teachers continuously assess and monitor students’ learning.

Primary

The primary section of our school provides a happy, caring and a stimulating environment that instills in our students a joy for learning The school follows a broad and balanced curriculum which recognizes the integration of the cognitive, psychomotor and affective domains of learning.

We ensure that every student in the Primary section realizes his/her potential and is fully prepared to progress to the middle school with confidence and self esteem.

To develop core competencies, a variety of creative and innovative classroom strategies are implemented. These help in meeting the diverse needs of young learners. It includes pair work, group work and extensive hands on activities that actively engage all students in learning. Digital tools are also used to facilitate learning and creativity.

Mathematic skills play a vital role in the everyday lives of the students. They are taught to develop confidence with numbers and measures, an understanding of the number system, computational skills and the ability to solve number problems in a variety of situations. The school aims at integrating the concepts taught through hands on mathematical activities.

At this age children develop social and emotional skills that are imperative for interaction in and outside school.

The primary goal of teaching science and social science in school is to develop in the students a sense of awe and wonder for the world around them. They are encouraged to explore, investigate and find answers using the concepts taught to them in the classroom. They learn to establish direct linkages between practical experience, ideas and thoughts.

The psychomotor development is met by a myraid of activities planned by the school. They include regular physical fitness classes, yoga and taekwondo.

The school not only focusses on the acquisition of academic skills but heavily emphasizes the development of the students' personal, social and emotional growth. Learning environment provided is such that it maximises their chance of realising the importance of being responsible and ethical citizen.

Emotions and feelings are critical to how students feel. These emotions and feelings are a great part of the interactions and relationships that form within the school. They are taught to handle responsibilities in different capacities at both the class and school level. They participate in day and overnight camps and out-station excursions which teach them to interact amongst their peers in informal settings.

A system of continuous comprehensive evaluation is followed.
Students are graded regularly and evaluation is based on child's participation and performance in class activities, homework, project work, group work, worksheets, class assessment, class response, reading and communicative skills, individual and group behaviour.

Middle Level

We ensure that every student in the Primary section realizes his/her potential and is fully prepared to progress to the middle school with confidence and self esteem.

For development of sensitivity towards Arts - Music, Dance, Drama, Craft, Drawing and Painting these skills subjects are also a part of the curriculum.

The teaching methodologies used in the classroom environment actively engage all students in the learning process. Variety of instructional strategies based on the assessed strengths, needs and interests of the students are adopted. The teachers implement whole group, small group, and individual instruction that provide for independent application and practices. Technology is extensively used in the day to day teaching in the classrooms. They identify and articulate clear learning objectives based on grade-level expectations' and assessment of students' needs.

Secondary Level

At the secondary level the school follows the CBSE curriculum for the courses of study and strictly adheres to the guidelines issued for the scheme of studies and scheme of examination.
